How we look after your information.

We collect only what we need to accept your donation, issue your tax receipt and reply to you. We never sell it.

This policy explains how Lucky Life Foundation ("we", "us"), a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 with its office at Anaura Khurd, Anaura Kala, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226028, handles personal data collected through luckylifefoundation.org. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

When you donate: the amount, the focus area you choose, and — if you give them — your name, email and mobile number. If you ask for an 80G deduction we also collect your PAN and address.
Payment details: card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout. We never see or store them. Razorpay shares with us only the payment ID, amount, payment method and status.
When you fill a form: the name, email, mobile number and message you send through the contact, volunteer or newsletter forms.
Technical data: your IP address with each form or donation, to prevent fraud and spam. If website analytics are switched on, Google Analytics records anonymised usage data such as pages visited and device type.

Why we use it

To process your donation and email you a receipt.
To meet our legal duties under the Income Tax Act, 1961 — including reporting donations with the donor's PAN and address in Form 10BD and issuing Form 10BE certificates.
To reply to your message, follow up on your volunteer application, or send the updates you signed up for.
To keep accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, and comply with audits.

We use your data only for these purposes. We do not sell, rent or trade it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Razorpay, to process payments.
Our hosting and email providers, which store the website, its database and our email.
The Income Tax Department and other authorities, where the law requires it (for example Form 10BD).
Our auditors, for the annual audit of our accounts.

How long we keep it

Donation records, including PAN and address, are kept for at least eight years, as required for tax and audit records. Form messages and volunteer applications are kept for up to three years, then deleted. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent to updates at any time. Some donation records must be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them; in that case we keep only what the law requires. To make a request, or to raise a grievance, write to our grievance contact below. We reply within 30 days.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to donation and form records is limited to the people at the foundation who need it to do their work.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies. Razorpay sets its own cookies during checkout, and Google Analytics sets cookies when analytics are switched on. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
